Military tents

BELSS provides NATO-compliant military, quick-set tents, and hangars with full equipment and various functionality. All delivered tents, hangars, and equipment are packed in a convenient and safe package easy to move with the technical unit.

Tents with an area of 54 square meters

The most common are 54 m2 tents, which are mainly intended for the living functions of soldiers. Deploying one tent requires 6 soldiers, who can deploy this tent in 30 minutes.

Each accommodation tent is equipped with the following comfort and individual equipment:

• A modern microclimate maintenance system with automatic self-regulation (HVAC) produced by Dantherm
• Bunk beds, chairs, and foldable storage lockers for 20 soldiers (“Discobed”)
• lighting and Individual electrical connection for each soldier
• A “full” floor that prevents from soil moisture entering the tents and a hard floor that ensures comfortable and safe use of the tent
• CO2, smoke, and heat detectors, as well as fire extinguishers
• Hinged doors, which provide faster, more convenient, and quieter entry into the tent
• The thermal inner liner cover of the tent, which ensures energy efficiency in both critically cold and hot weather
• Possibility to separate individual living “double rooms” with a corridor in the middle of the tent.

The tent structure is intended for use in climatic zones specified in NATO standards:

• Temperature fluctuations – 33Cº- + 58Cº (A3 / C1 climatic zone)
• Water-resistance 0.8 mm / min
• Wind resistance 30 m / s and wind gust 36 m / s
• Snow load – 50 kg / m2

These 54 m2 tents, if properly equipped, can be easily transported and changed in function, quickly transformed into an operational command post, medical tent, small warehouse, etc. The tent packing instructions provide them to be fully packed in ISO standard 20 ” sea containers for mobility.

Camps set up from these tents for fully autonomous functioning are additionally provided with all external electricity networks, footpaths, efficient outdoor lighting of the camp, and other accessories.

10 meter wide hangars

BELSS has supplied the army with standard 10 m wide hangars with a step, section width 5 m. This means that it is possible to modify and fully operate this type of hangar, where the area of ​​each module is 50 m2 (10 m x 5 m). The most common are 200 m2 – 300 m2 hangars, which respectively consist of 4 – 6 modules. If necessary, the hangars can be connected together by increasing the number of sections.

The basic construction of the hangar is an aluminum profile, which is specially designed for the assembly of the tent fabric, ensuring airtightness and blackout. In the aluminum profile, it is possible to simultaneously mount both the outer PVC fabric and the inner layer of the hangar, which, taking into account the air barrier, effectively ensures energy efficiency requirements.

The hangars are equipped with at least the following equipment:

• A modern microclimate maintenance system with automatic self-regulation (HVAC) produced by Dantherm
• A “Full” floor, that prevents from soil moisture entering the tents, and hard floor, which load resistance reaches 300 t / m2, provides an opportunity to fully use the hangar as a warehouse, including moving the track;
• It is possible to place a standard pallet racking system in the hangar
• Universal electrical system, incl. main electricity distribution
• CO2, smoke, and heat detectors, and fire extinguishers
• Hinged doors, which provide faster, more convenient, and quieter entry into the tent
• A thermal cover that ensures energy efficiency in both critical cold and hot weather
• It is possible to create separate rooms in the hangar

The hangar design is intended for use in climatic zones specified in NATO standards:

• Snow load – 75 kg / m2

The hangar must be assembled by 8-12 people in 16 hours using appropriate equipment such as mobile elevating work platforms.
